Representatives of the university's and faculties' management level (Rector and Vice-Rectors, Deans and Vice-Deans) as well as staff involved in quality assurance were invited to discuss the institutional graduate survey report. The CONGRAD Project Meeting, hosted by Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), was attended by 38 representatives from all CONGRAD partner institutions. The main objectives of the CONGRAD Study Visit “Graduate Surveys & Alumni Services” were to acquire a thorough understanding of the organisation of alumni services at Universitat Politècnica de València and the potentials of graduate surveys for university services, and to discuss the challenges related to youth unemployment.
The participants took part in the study visit consisting of presentations provided by representatives of the university services at Universitat Politècnica de València (Career & Employment Office, Alumni Centre, IDEAS Institute), a visit to the Polytechnic City of Innovation, joint discussions of recent and upcoming project activities and individual consultations. At the end of September all members of CONGRAD Analytical Unit took part in a two-day training on data cleaning at the Finnish Institute for Higher Education Research (University of Jyväskylä, Finland). Additionally, selected members of CONGRAD Analytical Unit participated in a two-week individual training visit at Bielefeld University (Germany) earlier in August.
Presentations and discussions covered topics related to coding, data verification, data control and corrections. Special attention was drawn to missing data analysis and weighting. As outcome of the trainings the participants acquired an in-depth knowledge about the processes and procedures relevant for the data cleaning for the CONGRAD Graduate Survey. Read more...
Ivana Živadinović (Centre for Education Policy) was invited to present the CONGRAD Project on Radio Television of Serbia.
On this occasion the overall project activities of CONGRAD Project were presented. A special focus was put on the general benefits of conducting graduate surveys in higher education institutions and on the ways in which results of graduate surveys can improve study programmes in order to make them more responsive to labour market demands.
Ivana Živadinović (Centre for Education Policy) gave a presentation on the CONGRAD Project and the TEMPUS programme at Love Fest EU Zone. Representatives of 142 youth offices from all over Serbia participated in the two-day event in Vrnjacka Banja (Serbia).

The CONGRAD Graduate Survey has been closed. About 14.000 respondents participated in the initial graduate survey in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. We would like to thank all persons who completed the online questionnaire. First results will be available in Spring 2014. Read more...
Data cleaning and data analysis are the main upcoming activities within the CONGRAD Project. CONGRAD Analytical Unit members attended an Introductory Data Cleaning Training hosted by Centre for Education Policy (Serbia). The training was provided by Lutz Heidemann (University of Paderborn, Germany) and Jana Nöller (Bielefeld University, Germany).

During the field work period of the CONGRAD Graduate Survey representatives from the Project Coordinator, the EU partners and CONGRAD Analytical Unit carried out field work visits to all regional partner institutions in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Meetings with the institutional field work teams and the universities’/polytechnics’ management were dedicated to the discussion of the field work procedures and the monitoring of the project implementation at institutional level.

During the CONGRAD Graduate Survey, the first large-scale graduate survey in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, about 42.000 graduates who finished their studies in year 2007 or year 2012 are invited to complete an online questionnaire about their studies and their professional careers. With their participation in the survey graduates can make a significant contribution to the quality assurance at their former universities and polytechnics. Based on the graduates’ feedback on their completed study programmes, their job search after graduation and their current employment situation the relation between studies and employment can be analysed and the participating higher education institutions will be able to make evidence-based decisions about future curricula and study programmes.
In order to promote the launch of the CONGRAD Graduate Survey in the following week, a regional press conference was held at Media Center Belgrade (Serbia). On this occasion institutional representatives from the Serbian universities involved in the project illustrated their institutions' initiative and their expectations regarding the graduate survey.
