CONGRAD Project Meeting in Valencia | Spain

The CONGRAD Project Meeting, hosted by Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), was attended by 38 representatives from all CONGRAD partner institutions. The main objectives of the CONGRAD Study Visit “Graduate Surveys & Alumni Services” were  to acquire a thorough understanding of the organisation of alumni services at Universitat Politècnica de València  and the potentials of graduate surveys for university services, and to discuss the challenges related to youth unemployment.

The participants took part in the study visit consisting of presentations provided by representatives of the university services at Universitat Politècnica de València (Career & Employment Office, Alumni Centre, IDEAS Institute), a visit to the Polytechnic City of Innovation, joint discussions of recent and upcoming project activities and individual consultations. Alongside the study visit, the fifth meeting of the CONGRAD Steering Committee was held.

Before the CONGRAD Study Visit members of CONGRAD Analytical Unit participated in a two-day training in data analysis organised at Department of Applied Statistic, Operations Research and Quality (Universitat Politècnica de València). During the upcoming months CONGRAD Analytical Unit will analyse the data derived from the CONGRAD Graduate Survey and provide reports for universities and polytechnics (internal use only) and a general project report (for the public).

First results of the CONGRAD Graduate Survey will be presented at the Regional Conference in Novi Sad (Serbia), taking place in May 2014.
